Our Story
Tyson was born in 1997 and lived to be thirteen years old. He initially joined the Barner family to help Stanley through a chronic illness called Crohn’s disease. The doctor told Stanley’s parents that pets can help children keep their minds off being sick—and it worked. Stanley never needed any surgeries while growing up and into his adulthood. His illness eventually went into remission. Stanley, Nigel, and Tory loved Tyson dearly and he was a beloved member of the entire family.
